Class Description
Join Alyasati Fusion Bellydance School, L2 Intermediate Community This 10 week term is a deep dive into the intricate layers of Fusion Bellydance body isolations, fluidity and musicality, building and progressing on strong technique & intermediate level layers The class will start with a 20min warm up and end with a cool down stretch. This term will explore the full spectrum of Fusion Bellydance: - Body shapes & isolations (circles, figure 8s, lift/drops, slides, diamonds & more) - Fluid-liquid-serpentine movement qualities - Locking-sharp and earthy dynamics - Layering (foot pathways, Body Isolation & Arms, introduction to body/body layers) - Intro to Indian Fusion Bellydance (yes Sarah is very inspired by her training!) - Creative arm pathway exploration and how our arms can be become a tool for artistic expression and emotion layered on fusion bellydance body isolation (Sarah draws inspiration from her training in Indian, Contemporary and Ballet dance styles to create her elegant arm expression) At the end of class, we will explore how the technique can become exciting new movement pathways through putting them together into fun combinationns What to Wear: - clothes comfortable for dance & stretching (eg, leggings, singlet, crop top, loose pants) - Bring drink bottle Parking: Parking on Evans Street can be tricky, alt parking can be found on Albert Street or Lygon St Please allow 5 - 10 minutes to find parking ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR SARAH MOULTON: Sarah, the director of Alyasati Fusion Bellydance School is a dedicated lifelong dancer who trained intensively in Classical Ballet and Contemporary dance before she found her love in Fusion Bellydance, inspired by the dances from the MENAHT region, India as well as being influenced by western dances such as hip hop, flamenco & contemporary dance. Over the last 11 years of devoted practice, she has found Fusion Bellydance has naturally become the platform for her soul and artistic expression, allowing her to explore emotions and archetypes within herself. Sarah also is passionate about Classical Indian dance and how the artistic nuances can be integrated into Fusion Bellydance which sees her regularly travelling to India for intensive training in both classical and folk dances. She has taught workshops, intensives and performed in New Caledonia, India & various Bellydance Festivals & Music Festivals around Australia

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY Due to the limited numbers available for in-studio courses and workshops, no refunds or credits can be issued for cancelling your enrolment or missed classes in the duration of the term. Once booked, you must give 5 days’ notice before the start of term if you wish to cancel your enrolment. In the rare event that Sarah is unable to take the class (eg. Illness) then the class will be cancelled or postponed to a later date. If the student cannot attend the other date then a refund will be provided. DANCE SAFETY: Dance classes can involve risk of personal injury. Sarah Moulton & Moss Upon a Time studios accepts no responsibility for injury or loss caused during classes or whilst participants are at or near the dance studio. You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and mentally fit for the class and during the class you must at all times take care of your own personal safety.
